2011 PPA Conference in Cagayan de Oro City

The 2011 Philippine Population Association (PPA) Annual Scientific Conference will be held at Dynasty Court Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City on 3 - 4 February 2011 with the theme: “Towards a Critical and Responsive Engagement to Population Challenges.” Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma, S.J., the guest speaker, will speak on “Responsible Parenthood and All-Natural Family Planning Program”. Former congressman Nereus O. Acosta will speak about the conference theme while Atty. Elizabeth Pangalangan will discuss the "Constitutional Issues in Reproductive Health: Focus on Adolescents" . This year’s conference also features several parallel oral and poster sessions on topics such as women and children in conflict areas, population aging, and historical demography.
